Dr. Yarlagadda

Dr. Yarlagadda, referred to as Dr. Y by most patients and families, has been practicing Psychiatry for 20 Year.

Dr. Y practiced at Cook Children's Health Care System in Fort Worth, TX, from 2006 to early 2018. During this time, she provided Psychiatric care to highly complex, mentally and medically fragile children and adolescents.

Dr. Y served as the Medical Director of the Psychiatry Department at Cook Children's for 5 years. During this time, she was passionate in advocating for the provision of comprehensive health care for children by helping to integrate care with pediatricians and other specialists. These efforts helped obtain grant funding for an expanded Inpatient Psychiatry unit at Cook Children's for children ages 2-12.

Dr. Y has been voted "Top Doctor" by the Dallas Morning News, nominated by her peers and patients. She also received the "Above and Beyond" award from her physician peers for her dedication to patient care at Cook Children's.

Dr. Y completed her Child & Adolescent Fellowship training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.

Dr. Y completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency at Henry Ford Health Systems, Detroit, MI.

Dr. Yarlagadda is Certified by the American Board of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, she is also Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Melinda Pitts PMHNP

Melinda has a diverse educational and nursing background. She earned her first Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Houston, and subsequently earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington.

While in school she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing; she also received the Clinical Excellence Award.

Melinda worked for 7 years as a Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse in a variety of critical care settings.

She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Melinda has an extensive background in mental health care and has clinical experience working in both private and community outpatient/inpatient mental health facilities in addition to the emergency room and partial hospital/intensive outpatient settings.

Melinda’s expertise also includes working with children, adolescents, and adults with attention deficit disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders.

She works in collaboration with Dr Y to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric conditions.
